the active system is better than a passive system - relying on amps and effects - in a mobile context by any standards. read this for the full bits on why... i've used both - i prefer an active system when mobile. if the room is setup and dialed in - passive stuff is fine (although most house systems are mis-used). but if the gear has never been in the space before active stuff is better every time.
